What is NCAFA?

The National Capital Football Association. It is the organization that runs the spring flag football league in which the Raiders teams participate. For more information on the league, please visit their website at www.ncafa.ca

When does the flag season run?

The season runs from mid May until the end of June. Practices will take place from Monday to Thursday (twice a week) and games will be played on Friday evenings and/or Sunday mornings. There will be a final tournament at the end of June at Ben Franklin Park.

What are the ages/divisions for the flag football players?

What equipment is needed?

Players must provide their own cleats (football or soccer cleats, no metal spikes).  Players must wear shorts without pockets (or tape pockets closed). Players must also wear a mouth guard at practice and in games.

The Raiders will provide players with a flag belt and a team t-shirt.

Do your coaches have mandatory training?

All of our coaches are volunteers, and are required to complete certifications set by Football Ontario. All coaches with the Raiders attend mandatory league orientation meetings to ensure they adhere to the mandates of the Club, NCAFA, and Football Ontario.

How can I help?

The Raiders are run entirely by volunteers and your help is greatly appreciated. If you are interested in helping out, please email president@gsraidersfootball.ca and your request will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
