NCAFA Unveils New Discipline Framework, Strengthening Community Standards and Celebrating 69 Seasons of Football

October 29, 2024

The National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) has introduced a new discipline methodology in 2024 to enhance league standards and address a growing concern over unacceptable behavior among parents, spectators and coaches. Successfully piloted this season, the updated framework has been carefully designed to foster a positive environment, reinforcing clear conduct guidelines and a more streamlined workflow for addressing disciplinary cases. This approach aims to stem the recent trend of increased unacceptable conduct, helping to protect the integrity of the game and the safety of everyone involved.

To mark this important development, JT Tsui, Director of Culture for Football Ontario, has released a congratulatory video message, commending NCAFA's commitment to respectful conduct and strong community values. The video serves as a call to action, encouraging the entire NCAFA family to lead by example on and off the field.

For more details on the updated governance documentation, including the Code of Conduct, Safe Sport policies, and other key resources, members are encouraged to visit the About Us section at ncafa.ca.
As NCAFA wraps up its 69th season during Championship Week, remember that above all, NCAFA is a family and a community. Let’s care for one another and set positive examples for the children we serve. Celebrate another successful season and take the opportunity to make Championship Week a memorable one for everyone involved.
